“Photographer Kate Griswold is featured at Ann Long Fine Art for her exhibit, "Avis Maximus." Griswold has spent the past seven years focused on photographing birds of prey in their habitat. Capturing these creatures on film takes time but Griswold is patient and accommodating of her subjects. Once she has a photograph, however, Griswold adds painted backgrounds to her images, bringing another layer of art and attention to her subjects. Her pieces are large and awe-inspiring and honor the subjects well."
